On this grief journey I’ve learned a lot. Grief doesn’t come with an instruction manual, and it doesn’t follow a timeline.

Some things I’ve learned on this journey..
1. Grief has no timeline—and that’s okay.
2. You can smile and still be grieving. Joy and sorrow can coexist.
3. Triggers come out of nowhere. Be gentle with yourself when they do.
4. Grief changes you.
5. Your grief is valid.

Some days you’ll feel strong, other days you’ll feel like you’re starting over. That’s not failure—it’s part of the journey, and it’s part of the process. Take your time, feel it all, and remember you are not alone.

These sweet boys.. the most perfect things I could ever ask for.
My sweet Connor, the one who made me a mother.
The one who gave me my favorite title, mama. The one who I miss every single day. My heart breaks this Mother’s Day for any mother who has experienced the pain of losing a child. My heart also hurts this year because this is the first Mother’s Day that I’m celebrating without my mother. Even at 46 years old, I still needed my mother. She was always my sounding board.
The one who knew everything.
The one who always answered the phone.
The one who never missed an opportunity to see her grandchildren.
The one who loved hard.
The one I always looked up to.

Mothers are so special.
They know more about us than anyone else.
They love us unconditionally.
They are always there to listen and be a shoulder to cry on. Forever supporting and loving unconditionally.

I pray that your Mother’s Day is filled with love, joy, and lots of spoils. 🥰💚💐✨

Some days coming home and spending time with these two is all the therapy I need. 🫶🏾

I’m still trying to figure out how to live in a world without Connor and my mother. Some days I break quietly, other days I can’t hold it in. Grief doesn’t fade—it just carves itself into who I am now. I miss them with a kind of ache that never leaves.

This Mother’s Day weekend will be very different for me. Thinking of every mom out there with a heavy heart. Love to all who need it today. 💚
